                             Jason Truby
Singer/Songwriter,Guitarist,Composer,Teacher, Producer

Jason Truby is a singer/songwriter and world renown guitarist who is also known for his inovative and unique finger style guitar. Jason began his career 1989 in Little Rock, Arkansas. His first band released four albums on indie labels over a span of eight years. Jason's musical palate is very diverse ranging from Jazz, classical and experimental and progressive composition, as well as a passion for Acoustic. As his style continued to develop, he found himself taking on the role of guitar for POD in February 2003. Sleeping Awake would be the first song he would write with POD. It was the title track to the Matrix Reloaded soundtrack, which sold over one million copies in the U.S. From there, he would write with POD their self titled album which went gold in the U.S. and sold one million world wide. During the making of this album, Jason became friends with guitar legend Phil Keaggy who was featured on an instrumental song he and Jason wrote called Eternal. The debut album with Jason led to #8 on Billboard and a #1 video at MTVs TRL, and #1 at rock radio. This led to the release of an LP called Warriors 2. This was a collection of songs during the writing process of Jason's second album with POD called Testify. During this time Jason composed and tracked a song with POD that was featured on album for the Passion of the Christ. This album would gone on to win a Dove award. Testify was released January 2006 and was produced by Grammy winning producer Glen Ballard. During this time, Jason recorded his first instrumental album entitled String Theory. It was recorded in Colorado Springs and co-produced by John Schroder. It is a very introspective album using multiple acoustics and demonstrates much of Jason's diversity as a writer. Jason was featured on the cover of Finger Style Magazine and shared a spot with Chet Adkins on that finger style album. In October 2006, Jason performed at the Denver Guitar Festival sharing the stage with Phil Keaggy and Glassharp. 2006 would take us to Jason's final song and album with POD which was featured on The Atlantic Years...the Best of POD.In 2007 Jason Released his second Guitar album entitled "Waiting on the Wind". This was truly and introspective album, and truly gives a glimpse into the depth of Jason's composition style. This album truly established Jason with a reputation of being able to touch the human soul with sound. In 2008 Jason released a  more organic acoustic album entitled "Finding the Quiet". This a collection of guitar tunes he had written for his children over the years. He incorporated open tunings and his unique finger style with a peace and comfort which is expressed in the album name.
2009 Jason began co/writing and producing with other artists, and doing session work.
Touring acoustic, mixing vocal tunes with instrumentals and creating a symphonic free play at each performance with his loop station, has given audiences unique versions from show to show. Jason had the great honor of being asked to speak and present his friend Phil Keaggy with his induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.  In 2009  Jason completed the album entitled "ENTROPY", a relevant, and thought provoking music that, as Jason states, "Took me twenty years to write." Entropy features the beautiful guitar ability, his vocal range as a singer, and  the deep spiritual connection Jason has experienced.
In 2010 Jason released an Acoustic Christmas album entitled "The Greatest Love" featuring the peaceful finger style Jason has become known for. 2011 Jason began Co/writing with friend and Nashville writer Steve Dean who has written 5 number on songs in Country Music. They have launched an Indie Label called Rockville Productions. They work with young artist development, writing and producing. In late 2011 Jason was honored by having his entire instrumental catalog added to Guitar Genius Radio.
